The CTLO is Brepols’ in-house Digital Classics lab. It develops and produces the ancient-language databases on the Brepolis platform.
The CTLO aims to expand its online databases at a high and steady rhythm, while adopting a rigorous philological standard, and to continually improve the functionality of these databases.
Tracing its origins to the late 1960s, the CTLO has actively contributed to the development and establishment of the Digital Classics. From an early stage onwards, its activities have resulted in print or electronic Brepol(i)s publications.
The CTLO is looking ahead and making its databases future-proof.
Having enjoyed fruitful collaborations with various teams and institutions in the past, the CTLO is always looking out for new cooperations.
The CTLO provides an active and long-running internship programme and is calling for future candidates.
The CTLO has its own permanent staff at Brepols and works under the guidance of an academic direction and committee.
